According to the report, an employee is said to have made the serious allegations against the Briton. Various major Formula 1 personalities were guests at the legendary Hahnenkamm race on the Streif, including Horner, McLaren CEO Zak Brown, Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff, and Silver Arrow drivers George Russell and Sebastian Vettel.
Horner completely denied the allegations, according to the Dutch newspaper “De Telegraaf”. The paper was the first to report on the case and, according to its own account, relied on several sources. The Red Bull spokesman further explained that it would not be appropriate “to make any further comments at this time.” The company did not comment specifically on the allegations against Horner.
Three-time Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen drives for Red Bull. Horner has been team boss since 2005. He has been married to Geri Halliwell, a former member of the girl group Spice Girls, since 2015. Under Horner, Sebastian Vettel was world champion from 2010 to 2013, and Verstappen won the drivers' title in the last three years. Red Bull will present its new Formula 1 car on February 15, and the first Grand Prix of the year will take place on March 2 in Bahrain.
